'Finger will never be 100 percent normal again'

Sports Correspondent: The injured finger of Shakib Al Hasan will never get hundred percent fit. Treatment is underway in such way that he can continue his cricket carrier.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said, "My biggest tension is the infection as doctor will not conduct surgery until the infection comes down to zero percent."

Shakib talked to the reporters before leaving Dhaka for Australia. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Greg Hoy will check Shakib Al Hasan's hand.

Although there will be an operation but the finger will not get 100 percent fit, said Shakib.

He said, "There is no possibility that the finger will get its previous shape as it's a soft bone. The doctors will try to bring the finger to a condition so that I can grip bat properly."

Earlier, the ace Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan underwent an immediate finger surgery at Apollo hospital in Dhaka. He was struggling with his finger injury for quite a long time, failed to play the match against Pakistan in Asia Cup and immediately returned home.

His condition got worsened by the time he returned home and he was taken to the hospital, where doctors performed an immediate surgery on his left little finger. 60-70 cm infected pus was released from his finger.
