Suspected sea robber killed in Chittagong ‘gunfight’

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong:  A suspected sea robber was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with RAB in the port city early Wednesday.

The gunfight took place in the Pologround area under Chakbazar thana of the port city.

RAB recovered an AK-22 rifle and 15 rounds of bullets from the spot.

RAB-7 Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mifta Uddin Ahmed said a team of RAB was patrolling in the area. Terrorists fired targeting RAB members at the time. RAB also fired back in self defense. At one stage, the terrorists fled. Later, the body of Kalam was recovered from the spot.
