Jamalpur Correspondent: A Swechhasebak League activist was slaughtered in Melandaha upazila of Jamalpur district.
The deceased was identified as Juwel Mia, 32, son of Abbas Ali, hailed from Bamun Para village of the district town.
Police and family sources said three friends of Juwel called him on Friday evening and went missing. Later, locals noticed his dead body at the bank of a local river and informed police.
Melandaha police station officer-in-charge Gazi Md Sakhawat Hossain confirmed the matter.
