Staff Correspondent: Awami League Presidium member and Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam's wife Shila Islam is no more.
She died at a hospital in London, the UK, around 8.00am (Bangladesh time) on Monday.
Deputy Office Secretary of Awami League Barrister Biplob Barua and Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil confirmed the matter.
Shila Islam was suffering from cancer and she was at Incentive Care Unit (ICU) of a London hospital.
Syed Ashraf is now in London.
Shila Islam was a retired teacher of a school in London.
