Talks continue with Canada to bring back Noor Chowdhury

Secretariat Correspondent: Law Minister Anisul Huq has said that the government is in talks with the Canadian government to extradite Noor Chowdhury, one of the convicts in the murder of Bangabandhu, who stands to face hanging.

The law minister made the comments while talking to the journalists after a meeting with Canadian High Commissioner Benoît-Pierre Laramée at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

The law minister also expressed hope that Noor Chowdhury would be brought back to the country and his sentence would be carried out swiftly.
