Tamim seeks rest from home series

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has requested for some rest from cricket as Bangladesh is set to play a Test match against Afghanistan and a tri-nation T20 series against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Akram Khan confirmed the matter on Saturday.

Earlier, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan asked teammate Tamim Iqbal to take some time away from international cricket.

Finally, Tamim Iqbal take the suggestions of Shakib. Tamim sent a letter to BCB seeking rest from home series.

Akram Khan said, “We got a letter from Tamim. He sought rest from the upcoming home series Decision will be taken after Eid in this regard.”
