Tax card to be given if tax paid: Finance Minister

Staff Correspondent: Finance Minister AMA Muhith said those who will provide tax, tax card will be given to them. If anyone pays Tk 1 only, he/she will get tax card.

The minister made the disclosure while addressing a discussion at National Economic Council (NEC) conference room in the capital on Sunday noon.

During the discussion meeting, members of the parliament suggested the finance minister to extend tax boundary not to increase tax rate.

Mismanagement in education sector, the quality of education, enlistment of Monthly Payment Order (MPO) educational institutions, doctors' crisis and other issues were discussed in the meeting.

Member of the parliament, Simeen Hussain Rimi, A F M Ruhul Haque MP, Mokbul Ahmed, Tajul Islam, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and others spoke in the programme.
