There is no pressure over election: Bridge Minister

Staff Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said there is no pressure from foreign countries over election.

The minister made the opinion while addressing newsmen during a leaflets distribution programme in the capital's New Market area on Saturday.

He said, "We practice democracy. Those who are giving us advice about election, they should check the condition of democracy in their own country."

Next national election will be held according to the constitution of Bangladesh, he added.

Meanwhile, Hasan Mahmud, Awami League (AL) Publicity Affairs Secretary Hasan Mahmud, office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap and others attended in the function.
