Three BCL men suspended at BRUR

Staff Correspondent: Three leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) unit has been suspended for confining vice-chancellor (VC) of the university.
The expelled BCL men are Shahid Mukhtar Elahi hostel president Imtiaz Basuniya, secretary general Ismail Hossain and Bangabandhu hostel president Mritish Chandra Barman.
A press release signed by central BCL president Saifur Rahman Sohag and secretary general SM Zakir Hossain revealed the news on Wednesday.
Earlier, around 11:30am, former BCL leaders took position in front of VC office and announced a hunger strike. Later, they locked the office room.
Police and BCL sources said several former leaders of BRUR unit met VC Dr. AKM Nur-Un-Nabi and demanded for jobs. They announced the strike as VC refused to meet their demands.
However, VC refused to make any comment in this connection.
