Three Myanmar militants sentenced in Dhaka

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has sentenced three militants of Myanmar to 10-year rigorous imprisonment each in a case filed under Explosion Act.
Third additional session judge, also judge of Special Tribunal-4 Md Rabiul Alam handed down the order on Sunday.
The court also fined them Tk 10, 000 each. In default, they have to suffer six months more in jail.
The convicts were known as Md Nur Hossain alias Rafiqul Islam, 30, Yeasir Arafat, 26, and Omar Karim, 29.
They were active members of a Myanmar-based militant group.
Of them, Omar Karim is on the run. He is son of late Abul Bosor of Pifarang village under Patharkillah thana of Akiar district in Myanmar.
Nur Hossain is son of Mohammad Hossain of Danespara village under Arakan thana of Akiab district while Yeasir Arafat is son of Habibur Rahman of Hasradha village under Mondu thana of the same district.
Nur Hossain and Yasir Arafat were arrested with explosive from Lalbagh in the capital on November 30, 2014.
However, Omar Karim along with three others managed to flee the scene.
