Three arrested for ‘spreading rumours’ on facebook

Staff Correspondent: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three people from the city’s Shyamoli area on Thursday night for their alleged involvement in spreading rumours through posting false, fabricated and provocative remarks against the government on social networking site facebook.

The arrestees are Wahedun Nabi, Arafat Tarunno Tamadi and Abdullah Zabid.

They were also spreading propaganda against the Election Commission (EC) on facebook, RAB said.
