Three hajj flights cancelled

Secretariat Correspondent: Secretariat Correspondent: Biman Bangladesh Airlines authority has cancelled three hajj flights scheduled for Saturday and Sunday due to visa complexity of hajj pilgrims.
Shakil Meraj, a general manager (public relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines confirmed the matter on Sunday.
He said that the necessary visa procedures of many hajj pilgrims are incomplete. As a result, there were shortages of hajj pilgrims in those flights.
Some 1, 27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh are set to perform this year's Hajj. Biman Bangladesh Airlines will carry 63,599, the half of the total Hajj pilgrims and rest of the half will be carried by Saudi Airlines, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia.
