Three killed in city road crashes

Staff Correspondent: Three people were killed in separate road crashes in the capital’ Mirpur on Tuesday morning.

Two persons were killed in a collision between a bus and a Laguna at Beribadh area in Mirpur around 7:30am.

Of them, one was known as Hannan while other to be aged nearly 65 could not be identified immediately.

Abdul Ahad, officer of Fire Service, confirmed the news. The bodies of the two deceased were kept in Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, a second grader schoolboy was killed as an unknown vehicle ran over him around 8:30am. He was known as Tauhid.

Deceased’s uncle Masum said Tauhid was heading to Ashulia from Mirpur. On his way, an unknown vehicle ran over him, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to DMCH where he succumbed around 11:15am while undergoing treatment.
