Traffic restrictions in city ahead of IPU

Staff Correspondent: Some streets in the capital will be closed for traffic movement due to the 136th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) scheduled in Dhaka on April 1-5.

Mosleh Uddin, Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) came up with the disclosure in a press conference on Wednesday.

He said that traffic restriction will be imposed on some routes for the sake of smooth movements of the guests during the programme.

A total of 1600 representatives from different countries were expected to participate in the event, which will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
