Traffic week begins today

Staff Correspondent: The observance of Traffic Week across the capital began on Tuesday to reinforce discipline on city roads. 

Police said the main target of the traffic week is to create awareness about traffic law. The awareness program will continue till January 31.

Throughout the week, action will be taken against vehicles without fitness certificates, drivers without licenses, driving on the wrong side and any other kind of traffic law violation.

Some specific work plans have been taken to bring discipline in the traffic systems. The program includes- leaflets, placards, festoons, guidebook distribution.
