Train service between Dhaka, Rajshahi resumes

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Train services on the Dhaka-Rajshahi route was restored on Friday after four hours’ halt following the derailment of a train compartment in Salna area of Gazipur.

Joydebpur railway junction police camp in-charge sub-inspector Subrata Das said, a relief train from Dhaka reached the spot and recovered the compartment around 2:00pm. Later, the rail communications resumed.

Earlier, four wheels of a compartment of Dhaka-bound Rangpur Express derailed in the area at around 9:45am, halting train communication.
