Trump wears mask for first time in public

U.S. President Trump was seen wearing a mask in public on Saturday (July 11 while he toured the Walter Reed Military Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the president is receiving backlash for his decision to commute the sentencing of his longtime advisor Roger Stone. Nikole Killion reports.

Following the issue, Trump said, “I think when you're in a hospital, especially in that particular setting, where you're talking to a lot of soldiers and people that, in some cases, just got off the operating tables, I think it's a great thing to wear a mask.”

America’s Arizona, Florida and Texas set record numbers of hospitalizations on Friday, while the U.S. set a new single-day record of nearly 64,000 coronavirus cases, according to Johns Hopkins University.
