Two children drown in Kaptai Lake

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Two children drowned in Kaptai Lake at Gathchhara village of Longdu upazila in Rangamati on Saturday noon.
The deceased were identified as Sayen Hossain, 3, and Minhaz Uddin, 3.
The Upazila Health Officer Ratan Kumar Dey confirmed the news.
He said, “The two children of the area drowned in Kaptai Lake while they were playing near their houses. Later, family members rescued them and took to hospital, but they succumbed.”
