Two crushed under bus in Jashore

Two people died as a bus ran over them at Nawapara in Jashore on Friday morning.

The accident took place around 6.30am in Rajghat area of Jashore-Khulna highway.

The deceased were identified as Golam Nabi, 80, son of late Montaj Ali Sheikh at Jaforpur village under Abhaynagar upazila, and Josna Begum, 55, wife of Selim Hossain at Dattogati village.

According to sources, a Khulna-bound bus of Prince Paribahan ran over them while they were crossing the road, leaving duo dead on the spot. The driver and his helper fled from the spot.
