Two dacoit suspects lynched in Pabna

Pabna Correspondent: Two dacoit suspects have been lynched in district’s in Santhia.

The incident took place on Friday midnight at Chhondah Kanalpara village of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Shahin alias Holka Shahin, 45, at Jorgachha village, and Machhir alias Kalu, 35, at Daramuda village of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Santhia Thana Jahangir Hossain said a gang of four robbers went to the house of Siddique of the village to commit robbery. Local people caught two of them and gave them a good beating, leaving them seriously injured.

Two other gang members managed to escape from the spot, he said.

On information, police rescued the two injured robbers and admitted them to Santhia Upazila Health Complex first and then shifted to Pabna General Hospital where doctors declared them dead.

The OC said they were members of an outlawed group and there were several robbery and explosive cases against them with different police stations.
