Two electrocuted in city

Staff Correspondent: Two people died from electrocution in Alibahar area of Shampur in the capital on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ali, 22 and Rezaul Islam, 20.

Sources said that three workers were working in a six-storied under construction bulding in the area around 10:30am. At one stage, the three people got electrified when they touched a construction material (rod) in bare hands. Earlier, a live wire fell on the rod during a storm this morning.

Later, the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared two of them dead.

DMCH police outpost In-charge (SI) Bacchu Mia confirmed the matter.
