Two killed as bus plunges into ditch in Sirajganj

Sirajganj Correspondent: At least two people were killed and 12 others were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at the West intersection area of Bangabandhu Bridge on the highway of the district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Tabjil, 55, and Raja, 45, both hailed from Gaibandha.
All the injured were admitted to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital. Of them, Abul Kalam, 40, of Rangpur’s Alampur, Taslim, 55, of Kurigram, Asma Khatun, 40, and Laboni, 25, of Gaibandha, and Nur Ali of Rangpur were immediately known.
Of the injured, three were in critical conditions.
Syed Shahid Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge West Police Station, confirmed the news.
He said, “A Rangpur-bound Khaleque Enterprise bus from Dhaka plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost the control over steering, leaving two dead on the spot and 12 injured.”
