Two killed in Chittagong road accident

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: At least two people were killed and 20 others injured when a passenger bus rammed a covered-van on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Kumira area under Sitakunda upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Kumira Highway police outpost Inspector Masud Alam told risingbd.com that a picnic bus hit the covered-van when its drive lost control over the steering in the area, leaving two men dead on the spot and injured 20 others.

The injured were sent to local hospital, he added.
