Two sent to isolation unit in Laxmipur

Two people with fever, cough, cold and shortness of breath were sent to the isolation unit of separate hospitals in Laxmipur on Tuesday.

On Wednesday morning, the samples of them were sent to the Institute of Epidemiology Diseases Control and Research of Dhaka for determining whether they were infected with novel coronavirus or not.

According to the district civil surgeon office, one of the patients was kept at the isolation unit of district sadar hospital. Another was being given treatment at a private hospital there.

One of them is female aged nearly 80. Another is 48-year-old.

Laxmipur civil surgeon Dr Abdul Gaffar confirmed the news.

He further said some 1,541 people were put in home-quarantine in five upazilas of the district. Of them, 1,211 people completed their quarantine period. Currently 330 individuals remain in quarantine at their home.
