Two suspected thieves lynched in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Two suspected thieves have been beaten to death by an angry mob at Kaliakoir area in Gazipur.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The incident took place in Bariabaha village of Kaliakoir upazila on Friday night. Later, police recovered the bodies this morning.

Alamgir Hossain Mazumder, Office In-Charge (OC) of Kaliakoir Police Station said, the thieves went to the house of Abdus Samad in order to steal cattle. Meanwhile, sensing the presence of thieves, locals rushed to the spot and caught them. The angry mob beat them up leaving the two dead on the spot.
