UGC chairman receives death threat

Staff Correspondent: University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan has received death threat through an unverified letter.

A press statement revealed the news on Wednesday.

UGC Security Officer Syed Ashrafuzzaman filed a general diary with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station in this regard, according to the press release.

It said, “One Nur Hossain of Savar sent the letter on the address of UGC chairman office through Guaranteed Express Post (GEP).”

However, details of Nur Hossain’s threat could not be disclosed in the press release.
