UP polls: Banks to remain shut in 6 municipalities

Staff Correspondent: All the banks in six municipalities will remain closed due to ongoing elections in six municipalities and 37 Union Parishads on Thursday.
Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday.
The six municipalities are Boda in Panchagarh district, Birol in Dinajpur, Bagha in Rajshahi, Bonpara in Natore, Alfadanga in Faridpur and Bakshiganj in Jamalpur.
The step was taken to ensure voting rights of bank officials and smooth voting in the areas.
