US Ambassador meets Ershad

Senior Correspondent: US ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat has called on Jatiya Party Chairman and Prime Minister's Special Envoy Hussain Muhammad Ershad.

She held a meeting with Ershad at his Baridhara residence “President Park” in the capital around 10:30am on Friday.

Different bilateral issues including current situation of the country, next general election and Jatiya Party’s position were discussed in the half and an hour long meeting.

Except Ershad’s personal assistant Major (retd) Khaled Akhter, no other leader of the party was present during the meeting.
