US-Bangla plane makes emergency landing in Chattogram

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A flight of US-Bangla Airlines made an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Carrying 171 souls, the Cox’s Bazar-bound flight BS 141, made the emergency landing around 1:30pm due to technical glitch.

Some 10 passengers of the flight received minor injuries following the emergency landing.



Couple of passengers in the plane told risingbd.com that the plane was flying in air haphazardly. At one stage, the aircraft landed at Shah Amanat International Airport in a great speed. The front side of the aircraft hit ground.

However, there was no official statement from the authority of US-Bangla Airlines in this regard.



Sarwar-e-Jahan, manager of Shah Amanat International Airport said the nose gear (front wheel) of the aircraft was not working properly. That’s why the flight made an emergency landing at the airport. The passengers of the flight are all safe.
