Upazila Election: 36.50pc turnout in 4th phase

Staff Correspondent: The turnout was 36.50 per cent in the fourth phase of fifth upazila election held on Sunday.

According to the Election Commission data, in 106 upazilas, out of 1,65,89,981 voters, a total of 60,54,615 voters cast their votes.

The highest turnout was in Fakirhat of Bagerhat district with 70.82 per cent. Out of 1,08,357 voters, about 76,742 voters cast their votes.

The lowest turnout was in Feni Sadar upazila as it saw 13.50 per cent turnout.  

The turnout was 43.31 per cent in the first phase, 41.25 per cent in the second phase and 41.41 per cent in the third phase. It decreased to 36.50 per cent in the fourth phase.
