Varsity student crushed to death, students block road

Gopalganj Correspondent: Students of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University blocked Gopalganj-Tungipara highway protesting the death a female student of the varsity.

Champa Mandal, 19, a second-year student of the university’s Marketing Department, was killed as speedy truck rammed her on Dhaka-Khulna highway, leaving her critically injured.

Later, she was rushed to Gopalganj General Hospital where duty doctors declared her dead.

Following matter, agitated students the university blocked Gopalganj-Tungipara road. However, the university registrar brought the situation under control announcing one-day mourn programme in the varsity.

Gopalganj Sadar police station Inspector Golam Faruk confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
