Varsity student goes missing on Cox’s Bazar beach

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent:  A varsity student visiting Cox’s Bazar has gone missing after he went swimming in the sea on Wednesday night.

Md Rafsan Foisal, 21, a second year student of Journalism Department of Ulab University in Dhaka, had gone swimming at Sea Gull Point around 8.30pm, said Cox’s Bazar Zone Additional Tourist Police Super Khadakar Fazle Rabbi.

“Foisal went to Sea Gull Point with his two friends. He was carried away by the tide,” said the police official.

Tourist police and life guard workers began rescue operations at several points along the coast after Foisal’s friends informed them of the situation, he added.
