Verdict on 2 Netrakona war crimes accused Wednesday

Staff Correspondent: The International Crimes Tribunal will deliver its verdict on Wednesday in a case filed against two Netrakona war crimes accused for their alleged crimes against humanity during the Liberation war.

A three-member bench led by Justice Md Shahinur Islam passed the order on Tuesday. 

The two accused are - Hedayet Ullah, 80, and Sohrab Fakir, 88. 

Lawyer Taposh Kanti Bol confirmed the matter.

Earlier on March 7, the tribunal kept the verdict awaiting. 

On January 10, 2017, the tribunal took into cognizance the formal charge submitted by the prosecution.

In the testimony of 40 witnesses, crimes, including abduction, torture, robbery, torching, murder, genocide and forced extradition were found against the accused.
