Verdict on 5 Netrokona ‘Razakars’ Thursday

Staff Correspondent: A special tribunal will deliver its verdict on five alleged Razakars of Netrokona on Thursday over crimes committed in 1971.
A three-member panel headed by Chairman of International Crimes Tribunal Md Shahinur Islam passed the order on Tuesday.
The five accused are Sheikh Md Abdul Mojid alias Mojid Moulana, Md Abdul Khaleque Talukder, Md Kobir Khan, Abdus Salam Beg and Nuruddin. All the five accused are on the run.
The Investigation Agency of the International Crimes Tribunal found evidence of war crimes against seven alleged Razakars of Netrakona. Two of them have already died.
They were allegedly involved in abduction, torture, looting, arson, rape, murder and mass killings.
They were found involved in seven incidents of crime where eight people were killed, three houses were looted, eight houses were torched and a women was raped.
