Voting in 9 centres of Barisal City soon

Barisal Correspondent, Barisal: Voting will be held in nine polling stations of Barisal City Corporation (BCC) soon.

Returning Officer Mujibur Rahman confirmed the news on Tuesday.

He said, “It is likely to be held voting in nine centres of the city on October 13. However, the date may be changed if  it is necessary.”

The centres are: Alekanda Faria Community Centre (male) of Ward no. 14, Government Women College (female) on Agurpur Road and City College centre (male) of Sadar Road under Ward no. 17, Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College (male) and Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College (female) on C&B Road under ward no. 22, Chowmatha RM Sagardi Government Primary School (male) under ward no. 23, Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat government high school centre (male) at Ruptoli under ward no. 24, Ruptoli Jagua high school centre of ward no. 25 and Syeda Majidunnesa high school centre under ward no. 1.

Returning officer said, “Of the centres, results of polling stations were cancelled. Voting in another centre was suspended by returning officer. Decision of holding vote in the centres has been taken on principle. Though it is likely to be held on October 13, but it is not fixed.”
