WASA hikes water tariff

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has hiked the price of water by five percent.
In a press release, WASA confirmed the matter to media on Sunday.
According to the statement, the new rate will be effective from tomorrow (August 1).
WASA said Domestic consumers will pay Tk 10.50 instead of Tk 10 per unit (1,000 litres) of water while the commercial rate will be Tk 33.60 per unit from Tk 32 now.
