Desk Report: The Dhaka Tribune World Cup Football Quiz powered by Walton, the country’s leading electronics, electrical, automobile and telecommunication products manufacturing and marketing company, had the raffle draw and winners announced on Monday (October 29).
There were two rounds of quizzes which were present in Dhaka Tribune’s paper during the Fifa World Cup 2018 in Russia.
Over 5,000 participants got the correct answer in this quiz and thousands more participated.
Bangladesh football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan and national team player Mamunul Islam were present to select the lucky winners of the raffle draw.
Besides, Firoj Alam, Operative Director, PR, Media & Branding at Walton Group, and Zafar Sobhan, editor of Dhaka Tribune, were also present to announce the winners.
In round one, the fifth prize winners won a rice cooker each. They are Mohammad Tahmid (Sabujbag), Mohammad Adib (Keraniganj), Nasima (Pagla), Mohammad Sabuj (Kamrangirchar) and Nasren (Khilkhet).
The fourth prize winners won a blender each. They are SK Mominur Rahman, Mohammad Zafrul Sadik (Mirpur 1), Noor e Jannat (Dhaka University), Liza (Pagla) and Roma (Nayamati).
The third prize winner was Romana Afroz (Mirpur 11) who won a microwave oven.
The second prize winner was Keya (Pagla) who won a 32 inch TV while the first prize winner was Fahim (Ramgonj) who won a refrigerator.
In round two, the fifth prize winners won a blender each. They are KH Erfan Ali (Magura), Morshed Ahmed (Hazaribag), Nurul Huda (Wari), Mitu (Ramgonj) and Kamal Uddin.
The fourth prize winners won a rice cooker each. They are Drishty (Jhigatola), Punom Chatarji (Jafrabad), Kazi Aminul Islam (Faridpur), Abdul Jabbar (Banani) and Lamia (Jhigatola).
The third prize winner was Adil Khan (Gopibag) who won a microwave. The second prize winner was Naibur Rahman who won a refrigerator. And the first prize winner was Hasan Pervez (Dhanmondi) who won a 43 inch TV.
The winners will be contacted via the contact numbers they have provided and the prizes will be distributed at a later date.
