Walton 20th Nat'l Cricket League: 2nd-day play kicks off

Sports Desk: The second-day play of Walton 20th National Cricket League's 20th edition started at 9:30am on Tuesday.

Walton National Cricket League (NCL), country’s prestigious longer version cricket league, began yesterday, (October 1, 2018) at four separate venues across the country.

In Tier-1, Barishal Division are playing against Rangpur Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura. Winning toss, Barishal Division opted to bowl first. Besides, Khulna Division have taken on Rajshahi Division at the Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi. Rajshahi Division are now batting against Khulna in their first innings. Khulna Division scored 210 runs losing their all wickets yesterday.

In Tier-2, Dhaka Division have taken on Chattogram Division at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium while Sylhet Division are playing against Dhaka Metro at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Eight teams are participating in the league. Bottom team of the tier-1 will be relegated to tier-2 and table topper of tier-2 will be promoted to tier-1.

National team players will play in first two rounds of the Walton National Cricket League.
