Walton Masters Carnival begins today

Sports Correspondent, from Cox’s Bazar: The third version of the Walton Masters Cricket Carnival (MCC) will kick off today (Wednesday) in the country’s tourist town of Cox’s Bazar.
The tournament with the participation of former famed cricketers is scheduled to be held at the two grounds of Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in the country’s tourist town of Cox’s Bazar.
Today, Rajshahi Masters will take on Sixers Sylhet Masters at 3:30pm (Ground no. 1) while Khulna Masters will face Dhaka Masters at 3:40pm (Ground no.2).
All the eleven matches of the four-day tournament will be aired Live on Channel-I. The final match will be held on May 5.
Walton Group, the country’s leading electrical, electronic goods, home appliances and automobiles manufacturing company, has become the title sponsor of the tournament for consecutive third time.
A total of five teams are taking part in the franchise-based tournament arranged by Imago Sports Management.
The five participants of the third version are: Beximco- Dhaka Masters, Sixers Sylhet Masters, Amber Chattogram Masters, Rajshahi Masters and Khulna Masters.
Former cricketers who have experiences of at least five years in the national team, ‘A’ team and Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League will be qualified for participating in the tournament.
