Walton becomes top taxpayer in 27 dists

M A Rahman Masum: Walton, the country's leading electrical, electronics and home appliances manufacturing and marketing company, has earned the top taxpayers award as it paid the highest amount of Value Added Tax (VAT) in 27 districts across the country according to proper rules and regulations of the government.

National Board of Revenue (NBR) has selected nine institutions in national level while 140 in districts under production, business and service category for 2015-16 fiscal year.

A top NBR official confirmed this to the risingbd.

According to the letters signed by Md Milon Sheikh, second secretary of NBR's VAT training and prize wing, top taxpayers in national level are named Narsingdi Gas Field of Narsingdi's Shibpur, Health Care Pharmaceuticals Ltd of Gazipur's Mirzapur Bazar,  Barger Paints Bangladesh Ltd of Savar in Dhaka, SC Jonson Private Ltd of Gazipur's Rajabari,   Unimart Ltd of Dhaka's Gulshan, Prince Bazar Ltd of Dhaka's Mirpur, Fiber at Home Ltd of Dhaka's Pantha Patha,  One World Aviation Ltd of Dhaka's Kawran Bazar and Mrs Bureau of Veritas Ltd of Dhaka's Ashulia in Savar.

Walton Plazas which were named for the district level prize are: Walton Plaza of Kushtia NS Road, Walton Plaza of Gourongi DC road in Gopalganj, Walton Plaza of Chapanawabganj's Indara road,  Walton Plaza of Joypurhat's sadar road, Walton Plaza of Jhalakathi's station road, Walton Plaza of Tangail's court road, Walton Plaza of Jessore's Garikhana road, Walton Plaza of Thakurgaon's college road, Walton Plaza of Dinajpur's Goneshtola, Walton Plaza of Noagaon old bus stand, Walton Plaza of Natore's Kanaikhali, Walton Plaza of Noakhali's Maizdi, Walton Plaza of Pabna's Chatmohor bus stand, Walton Plaza of Pirojpur's sadar road, Walton Plaza of Feni's SSK road, Walton Plaza of Faridpur's Uttar Faridpur, Walton Plaza of Barisal's Police Lines road, Walton Plaza of Bhola Sadar road, Walton Plaza of Magura's Syed Atar Ali road, Mrs Walton Plaza of Moulovibazar's Shreemangal,   Walton Plaza of Ranpur's Central road, Walton Plaza of Rangamati main road, Walton Plaza of Rajbari main street, Walton Plaza of Sherpur Munsi Bazar, Walton Plaza of Sirajganj's SS road, Walton Plaza of Sunamganj sadar road and Walton Plaza of Habiganj's Sherpur road.
