Walton unveils new flagship smart-phone with 20MP front camera

Economic Reporter: Walton, one of the leading electronics brand in Bangladesh, is going to add new flagship smart phone named “Primo ZX3” to its Primo series.

The latest version of Walton mobile is named ‘Selfie King’ as it is specially designed for selfie lovers to get them outstanding experience in taking selfie with 20 mega pixels camera. For the first time in Bangladesh, a 20MP front camera is added to the smart phone of a local brand. In addition, the users can set their special moments in a frame with 13 mp and 5 mp dual rear cameras of Primo ZX3.

The local brand officials came up with these remarks at the unveiling ceremony of Primo ZX3 at the conference room of the newly built Head Office of Walton Group in the capital on Thursday (17th August, 2017).

At the function, the officials informed that the ‘Selfie King’ will be available for the desired customer by the middle of the next month at all Walton Plazas and branded outlets across the country.



The unveiling ceremony of the latest flagship smart phones was attended, among others, by Walton Group Executive Director and Chief Coordinator of Marketing Eva Rezwana, Executive Director Amdadul Hoque Sarker, Humayun Kabir and SM Zahid Hasan, Senior Operative Director Uday Hakim and SM Rejoan Alam, Additional Director Firoj Alam, Walton Cellular Phone Marketing department chief Asifur Rahman Khan, Deputy Director Ariful Hoque Raihan, Media Adviser Enayet Ferdous were among other top official present on the occasion.

According to the announcement of the program, the front camera of Primo ZX3 will come with soft LED flash, 0.1s PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), f/2.0 camera sensor along with advanced 4-cell light sensor technology. Its Bokeh Selfie Mode will give a professional background blur effect that will offer users more freedom in artistic photography.

The handset is packed with dual rear cameras, which are working as one, a 13MP main camera to capture details and 5MP secondary camera to achieve depth-of-field information. Multilayer lens technique with a sapphire glass layers have been used in all the cameras which will enable true-to-life yet vibrant pictures and distinguish every detail of ambient environment. Both rear and front camera is coupled with the latest PDAF technology that takes only 0.1 seconds to focus the subject. Both front and rear cameras are capable of capturing full HD videos.

Users can shot photos in Portrait Mode, Professional Camera Mode, Face Beauty, Slow Motion, Time-lapse, High Dynamic Range (HDR) Mode, Panorama, Smart Scene, Night Mode, GIF, Card Scanner with a vast number of features including Face Detection, Digital Zoom, Self-timer, Auto-Focus, Touch Focus, Touch Shot etc.

The smartphone bears a 6-inch full HD (1920x1080 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz ARM cortex-A53 Octa-Core processor coupled with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, which guarantee smooth and easy multi-tasking along with steadfast execution for apps resulting in an unhindered performance. Mali-T880 has been used as graphics of the smartphone to give users exciting gaming experience.



The Primo ZX3 offers 64GB inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM format.

The dual-SIM 4G LTE smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 and is powered by a 4550mAh Li-Polymer battery with express fast charging technology. A fingerprint sensor on its home button will protect the data of the phone.

Though the flagship was unveiled on Thursday, smartphone lovers have to wait until first half of the next month to get ‘Selfie King’ on hands. Walton authorities said the price of the phone would be around 32,000 to 33,000 BDT and will come with Grey and Mocha colours. However, customers can book the phone with pre-order at all Walton Plaza and brand outlets across the country. Special discount will be given on pre-order.
