Water transport workers call indefinite strike

Staff Correspondent: Water transport workers have announced to go on a non-stop strike from tomorrow (Monday) on a 21-point charter of demands.
Bangladesh Water Transport Workers Federation's Chittagong unit general secretary Pradip Kumar Chowdhury confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Sunday.
The demands include- minimum wage declared by the government, appointment letters, identity cards of workers and service books.
Pradip Kumar Chowdhury also said their other demands include organising landing passes for India-bound labourers, security in waterways, end of harassment in marine courts and to increase the navigability in inland waterways.
