Water transports suspended from Barisal

Staff Correspondent, Barisal: Water transports from Barisal to all other parts of the country including Dhaka have been suspended due to bad weather.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) came up with the announcement on 5:00pm on Saturday.

Azmal Huda Mithu, deputy director of Naval Safety and Traffic Division in Barisal, confirmed the news.

He said all kinds of water transports will remain suspended till further notice due to bad weather.

Meanwhile just after announcement, all passengers boarded on Adventure-1, Parabat-10 and 12, Suravi-7, Kitankhola-1, the launches anchored at Barisal ghat, were bared to journey to their destination.
