Water vessel service suspended in Hatiya

Noakhali Correspondent: The service of all kinds of water vessels including sea truck have been suspended on Charchenga-Chairman ghat and Chairman ghat-Nolchira routes of Hatiya, the island upazila of Noakhali, due to heavy downpour, bad weather and cautionary signal no. 3.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Subrata Kumar Dey confirmed the news on Thursday.

He said water vessels were suspended on the routes from Wednesday for the sake of security.

The decision will be enforced till the further notice, said Abu Taher, master of sea truck Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat.
