We won’t boycott polls: Kamal

Staff Correspondent: Dr Kamal Hossain, a top leader of the newly floated political alliance Jatiya Oikyafront, said, “We won’t boycott the upcoming 11^th parliamentary election.”

The Oikyafront leader came up with the comment while addressing a rally of the lawyers at the Supreme Court premises on Saturday.

Jatiya Ainjibi Oikya Front, a new platform of lawyers, organised the rally.

Addressing as the chief guest, Dr Kamal said, “We won’t boycott the election how much the government plays foul game over it. Because the nation is paying its price for boycotting the polls once.”

Terming the incumbent government a government of cheating, he said, “The government should award a gold medal for its cheating.”

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president Zainul Abedin, also the convener of the Jatiya Ainjibi Oikya Front, presided over the programme.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed were, among others, present at the programme.
