Woman beaten dead in Satkhira, husband among 4 held

Satkhira Correspondent: A woman was beaten to death allegedly by her husband in Kukhrali village under Sadar upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sonia Khatun, 25, wife of Saddam Hossain.

Following the murder, police detained four people -Husband Saddam Hossain, Nazma Khatun, Sohag Hossain and Saddam's mother.

Satkhira Sadar Circle Assistant police super (ASP) Merina Aktar said that Saddam Hossain and his wife Sonia Khatun worked in a rice mill. But, following an extra-marital affairs with Nazma Khatun, Saddam Hossain allegedly killed his wife Sonia Khatun.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
