Woman, two daughters found dead in capital

Staff Correspondent: Police have recovered the bodies of a woman and her two daughters from their home of a P-type colony near Mirpur Bangla College in the capital on Monday night.

The deceased were identified as Jesmin Akter, 35, wife of Hasibul Islam, and their two daughters—one was 9-year old and the other was 5-year old.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Darussalam Police Station Selimuzzaman confirmed the matter.

Selimuzzaman said Jesmin's husband broke open the door of the house around 8:30pm and found the bodies of the woman and her two daughters in a pool of blood with their throats slit.

Police are currently on the spot to collect evidence and they are still unclear about the incident whether it was a murder or suicide.
