Won’t quit election: Dr Kamal

Staff Correspondent: Jatiya Oikyafront Convener Dr Kamal Hossain said, “We won’t quit election”.
The key leader of the Bangladesh Jatiya Oikyafront made the opinion while addressing reporters after a meeting at Nirbachon Bhaban in the capital on Monday.
He said, “Election must be held. If they (Awami League) want that we will quit polls due to the attacks on us. We will not do that.”
Dr Kamal Hossain also said, “Providing information, we told Election Commission (EC), we have received complained from all over the country that candidates are being attacked by muscle power.”
“Attacks being carried out on them who are working with election related tasks. No one is allowed to stick posters. It’s a terrible situation,” he added.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda, Election Commission secretary Helaluddin Ahmed, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Kader Siddique, ASM Abdur Rob, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Mostafa Mohsin Montu and Khairul Kabir Khokon attended the meeting.
