Youth held with pistol, ammo in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Police detained a youth along with one pistol and two rounds of bullet from Siru market area under Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.

The detainee is identified as Jubayer Hossain, 30, son of Nurul Islam.

Sub-Inspector Nazmul Haque of Joydebpur Police Station said that acting on a tip-off, police checked a motorcycle in the area this afternoon. Meanwhile, police found the fire arms from a rider of the bike. However, another rider managed to flee the scene.
