Youth killed in Jashore knife attack

Jashore Correspondent: A youth has been stabbed to death in Puraton Kosba Kazipara area in the district town on Friday midnight.

The deceased is Shohag Hossain, son of late Siddiqur Rahman in Kazipara area.

Shohag’s brother Shomraj said that around 12:30am he received injury in knife attack in the Amtola area of Kazipara. He recovered Shohag and brought him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Dr Kajol Mollik of Jashore Sadar Hospital said “He died of excessive blood loss. There were seven knife wounds on his torso. A sharp weapon had been used to slit his throat.”

Shomraj said his brother had worked as a contractor, but could not provide further details.
